Budapest Card
Budapest Card - the official city card, has everything! Absolutely loaded with discounts, it is the key to the cultural heart of the city: to the theatrical world that is Budapest’s own Broadway, to the historic baths and coffee houses, to the preserve of Hungarian gastronomy. With it you can also take a trip on the amphibious bus, or go sightseeing by boat, bicycle or even Segway. Free public transport, free tickets to two walking tours, discounts at over a hundred other attractions, shops and restaurants - all in one card!
Tourist Information Points
Tourist Information Points in Budapest are run by BTSZK Nonprofit Kft. Two such points are in the centre of Pest and one is in the Castle District of Buda; there is also one situated in each of the three terminals at the airport. Each Information Point stocks a comprehensive range of free leaflets, maps and listings magazines. You can also buy your Budapest Card there, and book your show, concert and sightseeing tickets.
Arrival
Budapest is in the centre of Hungary, at the heart of Europe. You can get here by air, train, motorway and boat. The capital of Hungary is the sort of metropolis where all roads in the country lead to and from, and where the public transport network is so extensive you can get from almost any one point to another in under an hour.
