In the long process of creating modern Hungarian painting style, the richness of  Ferenczy's art opened up several ways for his followers. The exhibition makes it possible to understand the importance of his work for XX.th century modernism. Ferenczy created a uniquely Hungarian style, while worked on the same problems as his French or American colleagues. Cosmopolitanism and attachment to the nation are his main characteristics.
