Having performed the works of Franz Liszt at the Palace of Arts to mark the Liszt bicentennial in 2011, this year he is dedicating a full-day “marathon” to Liszt. So what do the apparently very simple pedagogic compositions of Bach have to do with the transcendental works of Liszt?

The exhibition was made in collaboration with Sprüth Magers Berlin London.

The art of Peter Fischli (1952–) and David Weiss (1946–2012), the Swiss artist duo who had been collaborating for over thirty years, draws on the hidden poetics of everyday life.

October 2012 will be a month of world stars in the Palace of Arts. The grand old man of French organ music, one of today’s greatest star conductors, three extraordinary piano virtuosos, an extravagant American string quartet of contemporary musical life, an accordion wizard from Finland and jazz legends paying tribute to Jimi Hendrix. They are only a few artists who will perform in October.
