The history is the story of the people who lived before us. It is different from our world. Still, if we listen to it, it can tell us about ourselves and the city, which we are about to discover.
We are trying to flash via the blogs of four imaginary persons the fate of people, whose lives focused here from all the points of the compass under the walls of Buda Castle 325 years ago.
A common idea – the one of Christianity and freedom – led the troop starting for the siege. Those who took part in it were stirred by the common ideas and togetherness. There were almost all the nations of Europe to transform the border castle of the Ottoman Empire into the capital of the Hungarian Kingdom again.
Of course, the reoccupation of Buda was an important event of a power game and there was a lot at stake: Hungary.
Join us in the next three months and get to know the adventures of the four volunteers in the past.
